1970 Land Rover Series 2a

This beautifully restored Land Rover Series 2a was a late example for the North American market, as it was during the time in which the transition from the Series 2a to the Series 3. The late 2a had the coveted hard dash, but the revised front end with headlights in the wings vs the inner grill area.

This example was completely restored in 2022 by Sarek Autowerk in Richmond, VA and was a complete frame off rebuild with a galvanized frame and bulkhead to start. The Series was rebuilt with the Holley Sniper EFI system, and a Crane Cam ignition system for superior reliability in any climate. The fuel injection is so smooth and enables a trouble free experience vs the traditional carb setup. In addition, a new Ashcroft fully sycronized 4 speed gearbox was fitted which is a major upgrade in our option for smooth shifting.

Painted in fresh Bronze green, this example has a super classic look with the Limestone hard top and the super rare Brownchurch rack. The interior was fitted with new front seating, which is covered now to protect from current owners pup. The rear folding bench seats are original and the headliner has been replaced with new material and looks fantastic.

We had the privilege of seeing this one in person and also drive it on an extended country drive, we noted that it fired up immediately after sitting, ran and idled smoothly, and shifted great. We noted that there was some slight softness in the brakes, but feel a good bleeding of the system would resolve.

It would be hard to replicate this build with a builder at this point for less than 50k, we feel this example is a great bargain for someone looking to get into a Series!
